Hauser Model Classical Guitar in Brazilian Rosewood

This model is based on a guitar by Herman Hauser I built in 1938, but with a slightly modifed strutting pattern. The fan braces are similar to those of the Hauser, but with low transverse struts replacing the bridge plate. The headstock is a traditional Torres/Hauser design, and the finish is French Polish. The rosette uses thuya burr and satinwood inlays, and the guitar features a V-joint between the neck and head. The back and sides are Brazilian (Rio) rosewood, and the fingerboard ebony. This guitar was recently sold by Forsyths music shop in Manchester.
